New Permanent Representative of Norway presents credentials

VIENNA, 4 April (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Norway to the United Nations (Vienna), H.E. Ms. Kjersti Andersen, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Mr. Yury Fedotov.

During her career, Ms. Andersen has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador designated to Austria and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna (2018); Director General of the Department of UN and Humanitarian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2014); Chief of Staff to the Foreign Minister, Deputy Director General, Secretariat for the Foreign Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2010-2014); Deputy Director General and Assistant Director General, Section for Peace and Reconciliation, Department for UN Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006-2010); Advisor, Secretariat for the Foreign Minister, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2002-2006); Second Secretary, Norwegian Embassy, Berlin, Germany (1999-2001).

Ms. Andersen graduated from the University of Oslo with a degree in Political Science (1997), and from the University of Oslo and the London School of Economics with a degree in History, Political Science and Geography (1993).

Ms. Andersen is married and has three children.
