VIENNA, 11 May (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Panamato the United Nations (Vienna), Anabella Guardia de Rubinoff, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Mr. Yury Fedotov.
During her career, Ms. Guardia de Rubinoff, who is also Ambassador to Austria, has served in various capacities, among them:
Publishing Consultant (2004-present); Commercial Representative for Panama, Semana Editorial House (2004-2010); President of the Board of Directors (2000-2001) and Member of the Board and Editorial Board (1994-2001) La Prensa Corporation; Publisher, La Prensa Corporation (2000-2001); Board of Directors (1991-2010) and General Manager, (1991-1999) Ferretería Industrial; Medical Technologist, Gorgas Memorial Laboratories (1970-1980); Medical Technologist, Gorgas Hospital (1974-1979).
Ms. Guardia de Rubinoff has also worked with several non-profit organizations including the National Council of Foreign Relations (CONAREX) (2014-present); Founder and Board of Directors, Women Corporate Directors (WCD) (2014-present); Board of Directors, Democracy and Freedom Foundation - Museum of Human Rights (2011-present); and she was a founder of the International School of Panama (ISP) (1982).
Ms. Guardia de Rubinoff graduated with a postgraduate degree from the Advanced Executive Programme in Media Strategy and Leadership, Northwestern University, Illinois. She studied Advanced Latin American Studies at Harvard University, Massachusetts and has a Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology from Panama Canal College, Gorgas Hospital.
Ms. Guardia de Rubinoff speaks Spanish and English. She is married and has two sons.
