New Permanent Representative of Peru presents credentials

VIENNA, 13 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Peru to the United Nations (Vienna), Eric Anderson Machado, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

Mr. Anderson Machado has served as Ambassador to Venezuela and as Ambassador to El Salvador and Belize.

During his career, he has also served in various capacities at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among them: Secretary-General; Director General, Department for the World Trade Organization and International Economic Negotiations; Director General, Department for the South American and Andean Communities; Director, Free Trade Agreement Negotiations; and Director of Trade Promotion.

Mr. Anderson Machado has also held various positions in the Peruvian Embassies in Australia, Germany, Belgium, Uruguay, and the European Union. He has also served as Alternate Representative of Peru to ALADI and MERCOSUR.

Mr. Anderson Machado graduated from the University of Lima, Faculty of Administrative Sciences. He also holds a Postgraduate Degree in International Trade from École Solvay, Free University of Brussels. Furthermore, he holds a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and a Master's Degree in International Law, awarded by the Diplomatic Academy of Peru.
