VIENNA, 4 October (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Malta to the United Nations (Vienna), Natasha Meli Daudey, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During her career, Ms. Meli Daudey, who is also Ambassador-designate to Austria and Permanent Representative to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, has served in various capacities, among them:
Resident Ambassador to Poland and non-resident Ambassador to Armenia, Belarus, Georgia and the Republic of Moldova (2016-2018); Counsellor and Deputy Permanent Representative of Malta to the United Nations, New York (2014-2016); Counsellor and Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy in France (2008-2014); First Secretary, Permanent Representation of Malta to the European Union, Brussels (2003-2006); Visiting Lecturer, European Documentation and Research Centre, University of Malta (2002-2003); Desk Officer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2001-2003); and Producer and Reporter, Public Broadcasting Services, Malta (1998-1999).
Ms. Meli Daudey holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from the University of Malta and a Master's degree in European Politics and Administration from the College of Europe in Bruges.
She speaks Maltese, English, French and Italian.
Ms. Meli Daudey is married and has two children.
