VIENNA, 6 May (UN Information Service) - The Head of the Permanent Observer Office of the European Public Law Organization to the United Nations (Vienna), Ugljesa Zvekic, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career, Mr. Zvekic has served in various capacities, among them:
Senior Advisor, Global Initiative against Transnational Organized Crime; Permanent Representative of Serbia to the United Nations Office at Geneva; Chief, Strategic Planning Unit of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Vienna; Deputy Representative, UNODC Regional Office for Southern Africa, Pretoria; Deputy Director, United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), Rome; Scientific Counsellor, Institute of Criminological and Sociological Research, Belgrade; Founder, Legal Anti-Corruption Clinique, University of Belgrade, Serbia; and Founder, South East European Academic Anti-Corruption Network.
Mr. Zvekic holds a law degree (LL.B), Master of Arts and PhD in sociology/law.
