VIENNA, 11 June (UN Information Service) - The Head of the Permanent Observer Office of the Council of Europe to the United Nations (Vienna), Rudolf Lennkh, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career, Mr. Lennkh has served in various capacities, among them:
Permanent Representative of Austria to the Council of Europe (2013-2018); Ambassador of Austria to Spain and Andorra (2009-2013); Director General for European Integration and Economic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2007-2009); Head of the Americas Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2007); Ambassador to Mexico and Belize (2001-2005); Executive Secretary for the Austrian European Union (EU)-Presidency, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998); and Head of the Department for Coordination of EU-Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1996-2000).
Mr. Lennkh studied Law at the University of Vienna. He is married and has two children.
