VIENNA, 16 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Bulgaria to the United Nations (Vienna), Emilia Kraleva, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During her career, Ms. Kraleva has served in various capacities, among them:
Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs (2017-2019); Director General for Political Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2016-2017); Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Greece (2012-2016); European Correspondent/Deputy Political Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2009-2012); Political Affairs Counsellor, Embassy in London (2006-2009); Head of Section, European Integration Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2004-2006); First Secretary, Embassy in Athens (2001-2004); Third and later Second Secretary Regional cooperation and Western Balkans Department, Southeast Europe Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1998-2001); Attaché, Political Affairs, Embassy in Athens (1995-1998); and Attaché, Southeast Europe Directorate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, (1992-1995).
Ms. Kraleva holds Master's degree in History with an English language specialization from the University of Sofia "St. Kliment Ohridski".
She is married and has one son.
