VIENNA, 19 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations (Vienna), Sultan Salmeen Almansouri, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
During his career, Mr. Almansouri, who is also Ambassador to Austria, has served in various capacities, among them:
Ambassador to China (2013-2019); Ambassador (non-resident) to Mongolia (2015-2019); Ambassador (non-resident) to the Republic of Korea (2014-2019); Operation and Training Director, Qatar Amiri Air Forces (2005-2013); Military Attaché, United Kingdom and France (Non-Resident) (2000-2003); and Commander of the Doha Air Base, Qatar Amiri Air Forces (2003).
Mr. Almansouri graduated from the British Aviation Army College and holds a doctorate in National Strategic Philosophy from the Nasser Military Academy in Egypt.
Mr. Almansouri who is married, speaks Arabic and English.
