Permanent Representative of the United Republic of Tanzania presents credentials

VIENNA, 24 July (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of the United Republic of Tanzania to the United Nations (Vienna), Maimuna Kibenga Tarishi, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.

During her career, Ms. Tarishi who is also Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, has served in various capacities, among them:

Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs, Ministry of Natural Resources and Tourism and Prime Minister's Office, Regional Office and Local Government (2006-2019); Deputy Permanent Secretary, Prime Minister's Office, Regional Office and Local Government (2005-2006); Deputy Secretary of the Public Service Commission (2004-2005).

Ms. Tarishi is married and has four children.
