VIENNA, 15 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Bangladesh to the United Nations (Vienna), Muhammad Abdul Muhith, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Muhith has served in various capacities, among them:
Ambassador to Denmark with concurrent accreditation to Estonia and Iceland (2015-2020), Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy in Washington D.C.,United States, (2012-2015), Director-General (Americas), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2010-2012), Counsellor/Minister, Permanent Mission New York (2004-2010), Director, Foreign Secretary's Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2002-2004), Counsellor, Embassy in Doha, Qatar (2000-2002), First Secretary, Embassy in Rome, Italy (1999-2000), Third/Second Secretary, Embassy in Kuwait (1995-1999), Assistant Secretary (Legal, Treaty and Maritime) and Assistant Secretary (Protocol), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1993-1995).
Mr. Muhith holds a Bachelor and a Master's degree in Social Science from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh.
He is married and has two daughters.
