VIENNA, 25 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the United Nations (Vienna), Abat Fayzullaev, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Fayzullaev, who is also Ambassador to Austria, has served in various capacities, among them:
Special Assistant of the Minister, Head of Organizational and Inspection Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2019-2020); First Secretary, Americas Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2018-2019); First Secretary, Political and Analysis Division, Embassy in the United States (2017-2018); Attaché, Political and Analysis Division, Embassy in the United States (2013-2017); Head of Division, Deputy Head of Department, Head Department of Foreign Policy Analysis and Strategy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2011-2013); and Referent, Attaché, Third Secretary, Second Secretary, Head Department of Foreign Policy Analysis and Strategy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2007-2011).
Mr. Fayzullaev holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent and a Bachelor's degree in Finance from the Tashkent State University of Economics.
He speaks Russian and English.
Mr. Fayzullaev is married and has two children.
