VIENNA, 9 October (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations (Vienna), Aftab Ahmad Khokher, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Khokher, who is also Ambassador to Austria and Slovakia, has served in various capacities, among them:
Additional Secretary (Americas), Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2018-2020); Ambassador to Lebanon (2015-2018); Consul General in Jeddah, Saudi-Arabia (2013-2015); Joint Secretary (Inter-Parliamentary Relations), Senate Secretariat (2011-2012); Desk Officer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1999-2004); and various diplomatic assignments in Tashkent, Uzbekistan (1995-1999) and Geneva (2004-2010).
Mr. Khokher holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), an Master's of Arts in Economics and a Master's of Science in Politics of World Economy.
Mr. Khokher is married and has two children.
