VIENNA, 7 October (UN Information Service) - This is a message from the four main organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VBOs).
The Vienna International Centre (VIC) Medical Service reported today that five people - two from the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV)/United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), two from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and one from the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) have tested positive for SARS CoV-2. Close contacts have been informed.
The cumulative total number of people who have tested positive among personnel of the main VIC-based organizations is 78, of whom 65 work at the VIC and 50 have already recovered.
The four main VBOs are the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Industrial Development Organization and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.
