VIENNA, 5 November (UN Information Service) - This is a message from the four main organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VBOs).
The Vienna International Centre (VIC) Medical Service reported that three people who work for VIC-based organizations tested positive for SARS CoV-2.
One person works for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and one for the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). There was no workplace exposure.
One person works for United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNOV/UNODC). There were no close contacts.
The cumulative total number of people who have tested positive among personnel of the VIC-based organizations is 123, of whom 106 work at the VIC. Of the total of 123 personnel, 95 have already recovered.
The four main VBOs are the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Industrial Development Organization and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.
