Message from the main Vienna International Centre organizations

VIENNA, 13 November (UN Information Service) - This is a message from the four main organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VBOs). 

The Vienna International Centre (VIC) Medical Service reported that two people who work at the Vienna International Centre tested positive for SARS CoV-2. 

Both people work for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In one case there was no workplace exposure and in the other case close contacts have been informed.

The cumulative total number of people who have tested positive among personnel of the VIC-based organizations is 146, of whom 125 work at the VIC. Of the total of 146 personnel, 105 have recovered.

The four main VBOs are the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Industrial Development Organization and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.
