VIENNA, 19 November (UN Information Service) - This is a message from the four main organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VBOs).
The Vienna International Centre (VIC) Medical Service reported that five people who work for organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VIC) tested positive for SARS CoV-2.
Two people work for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). In one case close contacts have been informed and in the other case there was no workplace exposure.
Two people work for the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) outside of Austria. There was no workplace exposure.
One person works for the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime, UNOV/UNODC. There was no workplace exposure.
The cumulative total number of people who have tested positive among personnel of the VIC-based organizations is 161, of whom 136 work at the VIC. Of the total of 161 personnel, 111 have recovered.
The four main VBOs are the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Industrial Development Organization and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.
