VIENNA, 29 December (UN Information Service) – This is a message from the four main organizations based at the Vienna International Centre (VBOs).
The Vienna International Centre (VIC) Medical Service reported that three people who work for VIC-based organizations tested positive for SARS CoV-2. One person works for the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNOV/UNODC) outside of Austria. Two people work for the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and there was no workplace exposure.
The cumulative total number of people who have tested positive among personnel of the VIC-based organizations is 183, of whom 151 work at the VIC. Of the total of 183 personnel, 174 have recovered.
The four main VBOs are the United Nations Office at Vienna/UN Office on Drugs and Crime, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN Industrial Development Organization and the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization.
