VIENNA, 28 September (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations (Vienna), Troy Lulashnyk, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Lulashnyk has served in various capacities, among them:
Director General of Israel, West Bank and Gaza, Egypt and Maghreb, Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (2017-2021); Ambassador to Egypt (2014-2017); Ambassador to Ukraine (2011-2014); Director-General of the Non-Proliferation and Security Threat Reduction Bureau, Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (2006-2011); and Director of the Global Partnership Programme (2002-2006).
Mr. Lulashnyk holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Winnipeg and a Master of Arts in Political Studies from the University of Manitoba.
Mr. Lulashnyk is married.
