VIENNA, 24 March (UN Information Service) – The Permanent Representative of Albania to the United Nations (Vienna), Eglantina Gjermeni, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During her career Ms. Gjermeni has served in various capacities, among them:
Elected Member of the Albanian Parliament (2017-2021); Minister of Urban Development (2014-2017); Minister of Urban Development and Tourism (2013-2014); Elected Member of the Albanian Parliament (2009-2013), and Executive Director, Gender Alliance for Development Centre in Albania.
Ms. Gjermeni holds a Ph.D. in Social Work from the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tirana, Albania and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University, Michigan, United States of America.
