New Permanent Representative of Peru presents credentials

VIENNA, 25 April (UN Information Service) – The Permanent Representative of Peru to the United Nations (Vienna), Luis Alberto Campana Boluarte, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.

During his career, Mr. Campana Boluarte, who is also Amabassador to Austria, has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador to Turkey (2018-2022); Director of Antarctic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2017-2018); Head of the General Office of Human Resources, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2016); Director of Policies and Strategies, Directorate General for Studies and Strategies of Foreign Policy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2015); General Consul of Peru in Amsterdam (2010-2015); Director of Cultural Policy, Undersecretariat of Cultural Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2008-2010); Director of Finance, Undersecretariat of Administration, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2007); Minister Counsellor, Embassy in Spain (2002-2007); Chief of Staff, General Secretary of the Presidency of the Republic, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2002); Secretary in the Permanent Representation of Peru to the Organization of American States (1992-1996).

Mr. Campana Boluarte holds a Bachelor of Laws from the Universidad Católica del Perú and a Master’s degree in International Law and International Relations from José Matías Delgado University, El Salvador.

Mr. Campana Boluarte is married and has three children.
