Permanent Representative of Luxembourg presents credentials

VIENNA, 23 September (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the United Nations (Vienna), Jean Graff, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.

During his career, Mr. Graff, who is also Ambassador to Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia, has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador to Germany (2017-2022); Ambassador to Spain and Andorra (2013-2017); Director for International Economic Relations and European Union Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2008-2013); Ambassador to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) (2002-2008); Consul General and Director of the Luxembourg Trade and Investment Office in New York (1995-2001); Permanent Representation of Luxembourg to the European Union in Brussels (1993-1995); and Attaché, Directorate of International Economic Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1989-1992).

Mr. Graff holds a Master in Business Administration from the University of Nancy, France and a Diploma in law and economics from the Centre Universitaire de Luxembourg.

Mr. Graff speaks Dutch, English, French, German, Luxembourgish and Spanish.

He is married and has two children.
