VIENNA, 11 April (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Cuba to the United Nations (Vienna), Pablo Berti Oliva, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Berti Oliva has served in various capacities, among them:
Counselor, Senior Specialist in International Relations, Coordinator of the Social Affairs and Human Rights Group, General Directorate of Multilateral Affairs and International Law, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2018-2022); First Secretary, Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations Office at Geneva, Switzerland (2014-2018); Second Secretary, Directorate of Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2009-2014); Third Secretary, Directorate of Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2008-2009); Third Secretary, Permanent Mission of Cuba to the United Nations, New York (2004-2008); and Diplomatic Attaché, Directorate of Multilateral Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2002-2004).
Mr. Berti Oliva holds a degree in biochemistry from the University of Havana, Cuba.
Mr. Berti Oliva is married and has one child.

The United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) and Singapore’s national space office, the Office for Space Technology & Industry of Singapore (OSTIn), have agreed to collaborate under the "Space Law for New Space Actors" project.
