VIENNA, 5 March (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of the Dominican Republic to the United Nations Office at Vienna, Angela Vigliotta Mella, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During her career, Ms. Vigliotta Mella, who is also Ambassador to Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Serbia and Slovenia has served in various positions, among them:
First Secretary, then Counselor, then Minister Counselor, Embassy in Belgium and Mission to the European Union (2002-2023); First Secretary, Economic and Commercial Affairs, Embassy in Paris, France (concurrent to Morocco and Monaco) (1998-2002); and Technical Assistant, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) (1997).
Ms. Vigliotta Mella holds a postgraduate degree in international commercial legislation from the Université Libre de Bruxelles and a master’s degree in international politics from the Académie Diplomatique Internationale in Paris.
Ms. Vigliotta Mella speaks English, French, Italian and Spanish.
