New Permanent Representative of Pakistan presents credentials

VIENNA, 29 July (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations (Vienna), Mohammad Kamran Akhtarpresented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly. 

During his career, Mr. Akhtar has served in various capacities, among them: 

Acting Additional SecretaryMinistry of Foreign Affairs (2022-2024); Director General Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2015-2022)with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Secretariat, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (2010-2015); Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2006-2010); Deputy Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2005-2006)and at the Pakistan Mission, Vienna, (2000-2005). 

Mr. Akhtar holds a master’s degree in nuclear physics.
