VIENNA, 11 December (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Madagascar to the United Nations (Vienna), Djacoba Andry Solofonirina Oliva Tehindrazanarivelo, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During his career, Mr. Tehindrazanarivelo, who is also Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, has served in various capacities, among them:
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Madagascar (2020–2021); Executive in-Residence Fellow, Geneva Centre for Security Policy (2022); and he has 17-year university teaching experience at the University of Geneva, the Geneva Graduate Institute, Boston University Study Abroad Geneva and the Catholic University of Lyon’s Institute for Human Rights.
Mr. Tehindrazanarivelo holds a Ph.D. in international law from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva, and a master’s degree in public law and political science from the University of Antananarivo.
