Press conference by the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine

VIENNA, 12 March (UN Information Service) – The members of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine will give a hybrid press conference in Geneva to launch its comprehensive report. It follows its report to the UN General Assembly last October.

Commissioners Erik Møse (Chair), Pablo de Greiff and Vrinda Grover will present to the media the Commission’s latest findings and recommendations.

Date and time: Friday 15 March 2024 at 9:00 Geneva time.

The press conference will be streamed live on UN webcast https://media.un.org/en/webtv

Venue for in-person participation: new press briefing room at the Palais des Nations, Geneva.

Remote participation: via Zoom [link and password will be sent to journalists who confirm their participation].

Background information:

The UN Human Rights Council created the Independent Commission of Inquiry on Ukraine to investigate all alleged violations and abuses of human rights, violations of international humanitarian law, and related crimes in the context of the aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The Commission is required to present its report to the Human Rights Council on 18 March 2024.
