VIENNA, 8 May (UN Information Service) – Journalists are invited to cover the 33rd session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice (CCPCJ) which will be held from 13 to 17 May in Vienna, Austria.
The 33rd Session will bring together participants from Member States, UN entities, inter-governmental organizations, and civil society in Vienna and online.

A new analysis from the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) released today finds that legal protection of the environment varies widely by country and region in terms of crimes covered and punishments given, and highlights priority areas for consideration to strengthen prevention and curb crimes that affect the environment.
