New Permanent Representative of Luxembourg Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 2 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Luxembourg, Hubert Wurth, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.
Mr. Wurth served in various capacities in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among them: Ambassador to the United Kingdom (2007 - 2011); Ambassador to France, to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) (2003 - 2007); Permanent Representative of Luxembourg to the United Nations in New York (1998 - 2003); Ambassador on special mission for the former Yugoslavia (1996-1997); Ambassador to the Netherlands (1992 - 1998); and Ambassador to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Poland, Finland and Mongolia (1989 - 1991).
Mr. Wurth is also entrusted to represent Luxembourg at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).
He holds a law degree from the University of Paris and a diploma in international relations from the Institute of Political Studies (IEP) in Paris. He is married with two children.
