VIENNA, 11 September (UN Information Service) – The new Permanent Representative of Slovenia to the United Nations (Vienna), Melita Župevc, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Ghada Waly.
During her career, Ms. Župevc has served in various capacities, among them:
State Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister (2022-2024); Senior Consultant in the private sector (2015-2022); Member of Parliament (2008-2014); Public Relations Adviser to the President of Slovenia (2007-2008); and journalist at Pro Plus, Slovenia (2000-2005).
Ms. Župevc holds a Master’s Degree in international relations from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia and a Master’s Degree in international strategy and diplomacy from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.
