Six months after Nelson Mandela passed away, we need to make sure that his legacy lives on. "Nelson Mandela Day is a call to action. Each of us can celebrate this Day by helping to address real problems in our communities," says Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon in his message for Nelson Mandela Day. Every year on 18 July the UN joins a call by the Nelson Mandela Foundation to devote 67 minutes of time to helping others.
