United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon to Visit Hungary

VIENNA, 4 October 2013 (UN Information Service) - The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will visit Hungary on 8 - 9 October 2013 to attend the Budapest Water Summit as well as for a bilateral visit to the country.

The Secretary-General will hold talks with President János Áder, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, and Foreign Minister János Martonyi. While in Budapest, the Secretary-General will give a lecture at the Corvinus University of Budapest where he will receive an Honorary Doctorate.  

He will also meet with Prince El Hassan bin Talal of Jordan, who serves as the Chairman of the Secretary-General's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation.

On 8th October the Secretary-General will address the opening session of the Budapest Water Summit, which will be followed by a joint press conference with President Áder at 2.30 p.m. for accredited media.
