VIENNA, 6 May (UN Information Service) - United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres will visit Austria from 10 to 13 May 2022.
On Wednesday 11 May, the Secretary-General will meet Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen, Chancellor Karl Nehammer, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Alexander Schallenberg and the President of the National Council, Wolfgang Sobotka.
The Secretary-General will also meet the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna and Executive Director of the UN Office on Drugs and Crime, Ghada Waly, and heads of other Vienna-based UN organizations. At the Vienna International Centre, the Secretary-General will address UN personnel.
On Wednesday 11 May the Secretary-General and the Austrian President will jointly visit students at the Vienna Technical University to discuss renewable energy and the energy transition.
On 12 and 13 May the Secretary-General will bring together the UN system leadership for the spring 2022 session of the Chief Executives Board, to be hosted by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC).

Participation in the media events is only possible with separate accreditation from www.bundeskanzleramt.gv.at/akkreditierung
