VIENNA, 21 September (UN Information Service) – The 10th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) – CoSP10 - will be held in Atlanta, United States, from 11 to 15 December 2023.
The conference is the main policymaking body of the Convention and the largest international gathering to address corruption. A wide range of topics will be discussed at the meeting, including preventing and combating the effects of corruption on the environment and climate change, human rights, the private sector, and the way forward as the world reaches the midpoint to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
The United Nations Convention against Corruption, which is the only legally binding universal anti-corruption instrument, celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2023. Every two years, the States parties to the Convention meet, together with representatives from international and non-governmental organizations to review the implementation of the Convention and discuss ways to improve cooperation between States to achieve the Convention’s objectives. More than 1,000 people, including many high-level participants, are expected to attend from governments, regional and intergovernmental organizations, and civil society.
Media representatives wishing to cover the conference are advised to apply for accreditation in advance through the United Nations INDICO platform. Onsite registration at the Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) in Atlanta will be limited. Criteria for media accreditation and information on the documents required are available on the UN Information Service website. Facilities for the media, including a media centre and a press briefing room, will be available at the GWCC.
