    UN Shadowing Programme 2024: Inspiring the next generation of professionals

    This year, around 120 students were selected to participate in the Shadowing Programme, an initiative that gives students the chance to learn more about the work of the United Nations and its career opportunities. The UN Shadowing Programme, which starts each year on United Nations Day (celebrated on 24 October) and runs for one month, offers Master’s and PhD students the opportunity to have an online session with a UN staff member and attend a virtual UN careers workshop. 

ABOUT THE UN INFORMATION SERVICE IN VIENNA

UNIS Vienna promotes the work of the United Nations family based in Vienna through the media, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and public outreach work.

UNIS serves as an information centre for Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and Slovenia, promoting the work of the United Nations as a whole by means of information programmes and activities.

UNIS also offers guided tours and lectures through the Visitors Service.
