PRESIDENT OF UNITED NATIONS SECURITY COUNCIL AND
 CHAIRMAN OF MILITARY STAFF COMMITTEE IN NOVEMBER


NEW YORK, 31 October (UN Headquarters) -- In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for November:

Security Council

Mignonette Patricia Durrant, Permanent Representative of Jamaica, succeeds Richard Ryan, Permanent Representative of Ireland, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Lieutenant General Anatoly I. Meleshkov (Russian Federation) succeeds Major General Daniel Bastien (France) as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
