SECURITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE MODIFIES TITLE AND
INTRODUCTORY TEXT OF ITS CONSOLIDATED LIST

NEW YORK, 22 November (UN Headquarters) -- The Security Council Committee established pursuant to resolution 1267 (1999) has on 14 November 2002 modified the title and introductory text of its consolidated list, to:

"THE LIST PURSUANT TO SECURITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION 1390 (2002)
AND PARAGRAPHS 4(B) OF RESOLUTION 1267 (1999)
AND 8(C) OF RESOLUTION 1333(2000)
(last updated on 22 November 2002)

The list consists of two sections:

  2. List of individuals and entities belonging to or associated with the Taliban.

  4. List of individuals and entities belonging to or associated with the Al-Qaida organization."

The list is updated regularly, on the basis of relevant information provided by Member States and regional organizations. An updated list is accessible at the Committee’s Web site:
