President of United Nations Security Council and Chairman of Military Staff Committee in September

NEW YORK, 1 September (UN Headquarters) -- In accordance with the principle of alphabetical rotation, the following are the President of the United Nations Security Council and the Chairman of the Military Staff Committee for September:

Security Council

Juan Antonio Yáñez-Barnuevo, Permanent Representative of Spain, succeeds Andrey I. Denisov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation, as President of the Security Council.

Military Staff Committee

Major General Pascal Vinchon of France succeeds Senior Colonel Mu Changlin of China as Chairman of the Military Staff Committee.
