New Permanent Representative of Nicaragua Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 22 February (UN Information Service) -- The new Permanent Representative of Nicaragua to the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Isolda Frixione de Flores, presented her credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, UNOV.

Prior to her current appointment, Ms. Frixione de Flores was Director General of Bilateral Management in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nicaragua (1996-2004).

Ms. Frixione de Flores has served in many capacities in the course of her career, including as: Minister councillor and Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Nicaragua in Spain (1990-95); at the Nicaraguan Institute of Energy (1984-85); and at the Federation for the Reconstruction of Managua (1980-82).

Ms. Frixione de Flores completed her diploma studies in Civil Engineering at the Universidad Centroamericana in Managua, Nicaragua, and her Masters Degree in International Cooperation at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain. She is married and has four children.
