New Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 12 April (UN Information Service) -- The new Permanent Representative of the Republic of Moldova to the United Nations (Vienna), Victor Postolachi, presented his credentials today to Antonio Maria Costa, Director-General, United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV).

Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Postolachi was serving as Deputy Minister of Reintegration of the Republic of Moldova (2003-06).

Mr. Postolachi has served in many capacities in the course of his career, including as Director, Foreign Relations Department, Ministry of Economy (2001-03), company Director (1990-2001), and Director of a municipal Education Department (1985-90).

Mr. Postolachi studied at the Teacher's Training Institute "A. Russo", Balti, Republic of Moldova. He is married and has two children.
