    UNODC Co-sponsors Screening of "Human Trafficking" Film in Vienna

    VIENNA, 19 April 2007 (UN Information Service) -- In the context of the sixteenth session of the Commission on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, the Austrian Federal Ministry of European and International Affairs will host a screening of the movie "Human Trafficking," starring Donald Sutherland and Mira Sorvino, on Tuesday 24 April. 

    Journalists are cordially invited to attend.

    The event, which is also sponsored by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the United States State Department and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), will begin at 18:30 hours with a reception at the Cineplexx movie theatre, Wagramerstrasse 2.  The screening will start at 19:30 hours.

    UNODC recently launched a Global Initiative to Fight Human Trafficking.  A series of events throughout the world will culminate in Vienna, Austria with an International Conference against Human Trafficking from 27 - 29 November 2007.
