New Permanent Representative of Zambia
Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 12 December (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Zambia, Encyla Tina Chishiba Sinjela, presented her credentials today to the Director-General for the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

Ms. Sinjela has served in various capacities during her career within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, among them:

Permanent Representative of Zambia to the UN Office at Geneva (2012); Assistant Director for International Organizations (2010-12); First Secretary and then Counsellor, Permanent Mission of Zambia to the UN Office at Geneva (2000-09); Legal Advisor, then Second Secretary and then First Secretary for Legal Affairs, Permanent Mission of Zambia to the UN in New York (1985-2000).

Ms. Sinjela has a Master of Arts in Government and Politics and a Certificate in International Law and Diplomacy both from St. John's University, New York. She holds a Bachelor in Law from the University of Zambia.

She is married and has three children.
