New Permanent Representative of Greece
Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 16 January (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Greece, Themistoklis Dimidis, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr. Dimidis has served in various capacities, among them: Director, Department for Arab Countries and the Middle East (2009-2011); Ambassador of Greece to Azerbaijan (2004-2009); Director, Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia (2002-2004); Consul General of Greece in Jerusalem (1993-1997); Deputy Chief of Protocol (1991-1993) and Deputy Director, Department for the International Economic Organizations (1989-1991).

Mr. Dimidis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of Athens. He speaks English, French and German and has one daughter.
