Former World Bank Chief Economist Justin Lin to deliver lecture on China and the world economy

VIENNA, 26 July (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) - Justin Lin, the former Chief Economist and Senior Vice President of the World Bank, will deliver a lecture "China in the world economy" in Vienna on 10 August.

Lin is working with UNIDO for several weeks as a senior strategic adviser.

Lin is the founder and first director of the China Centre for Economic Research and a former professor of economics at Peking University and at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

Other participants at the event will include Peter Mooslechner, Director of the Economic Analysis and Research Department Oesterreichische Nationalbank; Werner Raza, Director, Austrian Research Foundation for International Development; and Ludovico Alcorta, Director, UNIDO Development Policy, Statistics and Research Branch.

Journalists are invited to attend the lecture at 16:00, on Friday, 10 August, at the
Oesterreichische Nationalbank, Otto-Wagner-Platz 3, 1090 Vienna,
OeNB auditorium, ground floor.
