New Permanent Representative of Kuwait Presents Credentials

VIENNA, 13 September (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Kuwait, Sadiq M. Marafi, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which he joined in 1993, Mr. Marafi has served in various capacities, among them:

First Secretary to Counselor (2007-2012), Second Secretary (2004 - 2007), Third Secretary (2001 - 2004), and as Diplomatic Attaché (1997 - 2001) at the Permanent Mission of Kuwait to the United Nations Office in Geneva; Diplomatic Attaché, Department of Asia and Africa (1993-1997).

Mr. Marafi holds a Degree in Political Science from Kuwait University.

He is married and has three children.
