New Permanent Representative of Panama presents credentials

VIENNA, 23 December (UN Information Service) - The new Permanent Representative of Panama to the United Nations (Vienna), Gloria Young, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

Ms. Young is also serving as Ambassador to Austria.

During her career, Ms. Young has served in various capacities, among them: University Professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Panama Latina University and Professor of Graduate Studies and Masters in Higher Teaching and others (2007-2014); Executive Director of the Center for Gender Studies, Panama Latina University (2009-2014); Executive Director of the Institute for the Consolidation of Democracy, Panama Latina University (2011-2014).

Ms. Young holds a Master's degree in Education Systems with specialization in Curriculum and Supervision by the University of Panama and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from the National Autonomous University of Mexico.                                                                                                                               

Ms. Young has three children.
