VIENNA, 31 May (United Nations Information Service) - "Increasing taxes on tobacco products discourages young people from taking up smoking and encourages current smokers to reduce use or quit altogether. Tobacco taxes are a direct route to preventing cancer, stroke and disease - and to saving lives."
