New Permanent Representative of Sweden presents credentials

VIENNA, 6 October (UN Information Service) - The Permanent Representative of Sweden to the United Nations (Vienna), Helen Eduards, presented her credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During her career, Ms. Eduards has served in various capacities, among them:

Deputy Director-General, Head of Department for Aid Management, Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) (2010-2015); Deputy Director-General, Deputy Head of Africa Department, MFA (2007-2010); Special Assignment at the Department for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, MFA (2006-2007); Director, Head of the Unit for International and European Union (EU) Affairs, Prime Minister's Office (2004-2006); Deputy Director, Advisor on International and EU Affairs, Prime Minister's Office (2003-2004), Desk Officer, Department for EU Affairs, MFA (2002-2003); Second Secretary, Swedish Mission to the United Nations, New York (1999-2002); Desk Officer, Department for Africa, MFA (1997-1999); Diplomatic Training Programme, MFA (1996).

Ms. Eduards holds an University Degree in Political Science, Social Anthropology and History of Economics from the University of Stockholm in Sweden.

Ms. Eduards has two children.
