Least Developed Countries Ministerial Conference opens in Vienna tomorrow

VIENNA, 25 November (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) - Operationalizing inclusive and sustainable industrial development in the Least Developed Countries (LDCs) as a path to graduation out of the LDC category will be the focus of a Ministerial Conference that opens in Vienna tomorrow.

The two-day event is being organized by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). It will bring together more than 250 participants, including ministers from LDCs in charge of industry, representatives of relevant UN agencies, regional economic commissions, emerging countries' institutions, donors and private sector entities.

Journalists are invited to attend the opening at 9:30, on Thursday, 26 November, in Board Room D, at the C Building of the Vienna International Centre, as well as all other sessions.

Photo identification will be required for entry.
