New Permanent Representative of Singapore presents credentials

VIENNA, 2 March (UN Information Service) - The Permanent Representative of Singapore to the United Nations (Vienna), H.E. Mr. FOO Kok Jwee, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career, Mr. Foo has served in various capacities, among them:

Permanent Representative to the United Nations in Geneva and Resident Representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna (since 2014); Director-General of the Technical Cooperation Directorate in the Singapore Foreign Ministry (2011-2014); Press Secretary to Senior Minister and Singapore's second Prime Minister Mr Goh Chok Tong and Director (Special Duties) in Singapore's Ministry of Communications and Information (2010-2014); Director for Academic Matters in the Foreign Ministry's Diplomatic Academy (2010-2012); Second Secretary/First Secretary/Counsellor in the Singapore Embassy in Jakarta (2002-2006).

Mr. Foo holds a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore and a Master in Public Administration from the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.

Mr Foo is married and has two children.
