New Permanent Representative of Iraq presents credentials

VIENNA, 25 January (UN Information Service) - The Permanent Representative of Iraq to the United Nations (Vienna), Auday Al-Khairalla, presented his credentials today to the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), Yury Fedotov.

During his career, Mr. Al-Khairalla has served in various capacities, among them:

Ambassador of Iraq in Vienna and Permanent Representative to the United Nations (2015-2016); Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iraq to Algeria (2010-2015); Ambassador of the Department of Administrative and Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq in Baghdad, Iraq (2009-2010); General Director of Evaluation and Examinations Directorate, and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Examinations at the Ministry of Education in Iraq (2006-2009); Director and Owner of Mecah Company for General Trading in Detroit, United States (1997-2004); Financial and Administrative Director for Orleans Pharmacy in Ottawa, Canada (1990-1996); Founder and Director of the Weekend School for the Arab Community in Montreal and Ottawa, Canada (1987-1996); Director of Nawfal Company and Oasis Company for Industrial Equipment in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates (1982-1987).

Mr. Al-Khairalla holds a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Baghdad and a Postgraduate Diploma in Soil Science from the University of Wales.

Mr. Al-Khairalla speaks English, Arabic and basic French
